Diplomatic World Country Specials:
A New Format for A New Time
During today’s ongoing global pandemic, it is important to break new grounds. In these challenging but crucial times, many countries are feeling the social, economic and human effects caused by COVID-19. In this context, Diplomatic World is redefining and adapting itself to offer a new format, which is strongly rooted in its many years of expertise and experience. This format is the Diplomatic World Country Special, which complements the four regular, yearly editions of the magazine.
With this new format of Country Specials, Diplomatic World wishes to highlight the economic, investment, touristic, and cultural/artistic potential and opportunities of the country covered, and its relations with the European Union. The Country Special magazines will take stock of the ongoing reforms and processes in the concerned country, and explore the untapped potentials and opportunities that lie ahead. This will be done by gathering the views of leading individuals from Government, the business community, the energy sector, arts & culture, analytical centers, etc. from both the country in question and the European Union (EU).
The Country Specials are, above all, flexible and tailor-made for each country. They are flexible in terms of their length, the thematic blocks covered (which can include, among others, foreign policy; relations with the EU; business and finance; energy and environment; youth and civil society; arts and culture) and other specific topics to be included. Regular coordination meetings will be held between Diplomatic World and the Ambassadors and diplomatic representations in Brussels to coordinate the entire process.
Once the Country Special magazine is published, Diplomatic World will create a strong online presence including a feature on the Diplomatic World website and its social media channels LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook. The magazine will also be printed and distributed both in Brussels, the EU and the country in question. The Special Edition will be circulated widely among the high-level readership of Diplomatic World, including Heads of State; Ambassadors to Belgium, the EU and NATO; CEOs of multinational companies, ministers and officials of the European Commission and the European Parliament, and leading think tanks.
There will be a public launch at a prestigious Brussels venue with high-level guests from the diplomatic corps, EU institutions, business, arts and culture. Thereafter, a delegation of Diplomatic World, led by Barbara Dietrich, CEO of Diplomatic World, will travel to the country for further dissemination of the magazine and meeting with relevant stakeholders there.
